In English we focus on your child’s ability to read, spell and write. We analyze how well your child is able to use the necessary skills to tackle literacy at their appropriate age/grade level.

In Math, we focus on your child’s knowledge of numbers, problem solving and shape, space and measure. We make sure children are experts at number so that they can cope with any mathematical problem they may be faced with.

If you require an independent, specialist assessment for Dyslexia or would like a profile of your child’s sensory skills used for reading and spelling, we are able to provide that service at our office. We also offer an assessment that measures how well a child is able to concentrate, which can help to establish the times when your child is more likely to find it more difficult to focus-in on their learning. This is an important step in determining the type of program that would most likely be of benefit to your child.

We can also help you understand outsourced Assessment reports that may have been compiled for you by other professionals and explain any options that may be open for you to pursue.

Our assessment reports are parent-friendly – we write them so you are able to understand them and include some common-sense solutions for you and your child. We do not use jargon that you may find confusing – we use straightforward vocabulary that helps you know exactly what is happening with your child.

We can also advise you, if appropriate, on how to claim costs for assessment and tutoring on your annual tax return – so be sure to find out more details when you book your first meeting.
